Living with a mental illness

Mental illness is a serious disturbances in feelings, perceptions and thoughts, which affects the daily lives of the individuals.

Living with mental ailments is never easy at all. This is challenging, frustrating and overwhelming. Mental illness can't be characterized to be dead, it can be beaten only with understanding, knowledge and empathy. It's almost similar to people suffering from bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, anxiety disorders and depression.

It's true that people suffering from mental illness has to go through a lot of challenges. They don't understand how to converse with co-workers, friends, how to hold a job, how to deal with family and share things with them and dealing with the various consequences of illness. Mental illness affects several spheres of life in a huge way. Sometimes, treatments don't work. Emotional support is the best way to treat with individuals suffering from mental illness. 

Also, people with mental illness suffers in various spheres of daily life. Work, education and physical health are affected hugely. This also makes the situation stressful. Living with debt makes it difficult to manage money and secure work. You need to draw up the budget sheet, categorize the debts into non-priority and priority debts and deal with them accordingly.

It's always possible to control the lives of individuals suffering from mental illness. Supporting recovery and effective communication are very important for individuals suffering with this disorder. These help in improving the functioning and quality of life of the individuals to a huge extent.
Thus, surviving with mental illness is extremely difficult and needs to be handled with utmost care and love.
