Some false beliefs that are very popular

Over the years some false notions have grown so strong that people tend to believe as they were true. Below we list some of these notions which have been considered to be true.

1. We have only five senses

Most religious scriptures also cite the fact that humans have five senses. However, it is not true, and it is said that we have nine senses. Some scientists take this number further up to 21.

2. Napoleon was a short man

Napoleon was in fact 5 feet and 7 inches and cannot be considered as short from any account.

3. The third world countries are poor

This is entirely a false notion as countries which are capitalist are considered as the first world while communist nations are considered as the second world countries. Nations which fall in neither of these two categories are deemed to be third world Countries. Many of such countries are in fact well developed.

4. The Great Wall of China is visible from space

This is not true, and International Space Station commander also pointed that Great Wall of China is not visible from space.


5. Lightning does not strike again at same place again

It is not true and lightning has struck many times at the same place. In fact, the Empire State Building has been struck many times.
