Who are some of the IIT alumni who have really made a mark in the world?

IIT is a dream in itself. Once you are able to get through the IIT, A bright future is waiting for you. Below we list some of the successful people from IIT who have made a mark for themselves in the world.

1. Sundar Pichai

Currently the senior Vice President at Google, Sundar Pichai has done Bachelors of Engineering from IIT Kharagpur in Metallurgical Engineering. He is regarded as the most successful alumni of IIT.

2. M.R. Narayana Murthy

The co-founder and ex-chairman of Infosys, M.R. Narayana Murthy is an M.Tech from IIT Kanpur. Time magazine has listed Murthy as the Father of Indian IT Industry. He has also received Padma Shri and Padma Vibushan awards from Government of India.

3. Sachin Bansal

Sachin Bansal who is an alumni of IIT Delhi built Flipkart to its present position in 6 years only. The venture started in a small Bangalore flat from Rs 4 Lakh and has now turned into a multibillion dollar company.

4. Chetan Bhagat

An alumni of IIT Delhi and IIT Ahmadabad, Chetan Bhagat is a renowned Indian author who has come up with many bestsellers, often focusing on the life and struggle of common Indians.
