Unless you have been living under a rock there are chances that you would know who the Kardashians are. A family who defines the whole concept of reality TV and has become America’s most well-known celebrity faces have never shied away from being controversial.
Bruce Jenner is one member of the Kardashian household who has credible talents and achievements. A gold medalist in the Olympics, Bruce chose to be a reality TV star in a show titled “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” He along with his inane family received a lot of fame and grew onto be one of the most popular if not the most admired American family. Bruce Jenner though chose to shock the world when he decided to come out as transgender in 2015 and then became a woman.
Who is Bruce Jenner?
In better times Bruce Jenner was a well-respected sportsman who had brought a lot of fame and recognition to his country. He was born in 1949 and was the most celebrated sportsman of the 1970s. He won the country an Olympic gold medal in the decathlon in 1976. His parents William Jenner, a tree surgeon. And his mother was not really surprised that their son, who was the second among four children would become an excellent athlete. Bruce’s father already had a history of being a good athlete as he had won a silver medal in the 100-yard dash in the U.S. Army Olympics in Nuremberg, Germany. Bruce from an early age was showing signs of being a future athlete as he had developed a big chest, wide shoulders and a lot of energy.

Beating The Odds
It was not just tremendous energies and potential that Bruce was gifted with but also iron-strong will to fight all odds. His school time was tougher than an average child as he was dyslexic. He had trouble learning, reading and spelling because of which his biggest fear was to go to a school where his teacher would ask him to read out loud. Respite came in the form of a sporting event that was sprung on the student by the teacher. Bruce was made to compete with students, and he turned out to be the fastest among all of them. He discovered something he was good at, and that became his niche in life.

Price Of Fame And Meeting Kris
Becoming an overnight sensation is not something that everyone can handle and Bruce underwent the same experience after winning his medal and becoming a popular face. He became a sought-after face for commercials, public speaking and even movie and shows; he also co-authored two books. Though the fame was fickle and soon Bruce found his life to be going down the slide with no good source of income apart from motivational speaking and no fame to cash on further. It was when he met Kris Kardashian in 1990 that his life changed forever. She became the driving force behind his aircraft sales and fitness products company. They accumulated a lot of wealth and the crowning period of this rise was when the reality TV show took off.

Is Bruce Jenner Actually Caitlyn Jenner?
The already controversial life of Bruce took a whole new turn when Bruce came out as a Trans woman. This shocking revelation happened during an interview with Diane Sawyer in April 2015. After undergoing cosmetic surgery, she finally changed her gender in January 2017 when she underwent a gender reassignment. Bruce or now Caitlyn Jenner had already divorced her wife in the year 2014 and was ready to embrace this new identity. Vanity Fair magazine had a picture of Caitlyn Jenner as their cover picture in June 2015 with the tagline’ Call Me Caitlyn’
