3. You can find like-minded people in social networking sites who share your interests. If you love making new friends, social networking is a great medium to do that.

4. Important information and breaking news can spread extremely fast on the social networking sites. Important things like missing children and storm information are taken very seriously.

5. Social networking sites also help the police to catch criminals and solve certain cases.

Disadvantages of social networking

1. Cyber bullying is one of the most common disadvantages of social networking where people post mean things and publicly harass each other. Young kids and teenagers are often the victims of cyber bullying.

2. False information can also spread very fast through social media sites that result in unnecessary panic.

3. Social networking often results in conflicts and problems in relationships. Many relationships have ended due to misunderstanding caused by social networking.

4. Social networking has become an addiction for many people. They waste their time scrolling their newsfeed and timeline. The addiction of getting likes and comments is so much that people also start feeling depressed when they don’t get the number of likes that they are expecting on their pictures or posts.

5. Social networking has made people unsocial in real life. People find it more comfortable to talk though Facebook messages than meeting the person in real.
