Did you know your ATM machines are full of germs?

Your ATM machine keypad, may be loaded with bacteria.

It has more germs more than a public toilet. You may need to wash your hands after using an ATM machine. Studies have reported that ATM keypads are covered with germs, most of them are human skin microbes. ATM machine keypads represent unexplored microbes.

 Swabs were taken from 65 ATM machine keypads in the U.S. The sources of bacteria were household surfaces, such as pillows, furnitures, mattresses,cell phones and telivision. Bacteria from chicken and fish were also found. The bacteria from chicken and fish  remains in a person's hands and get transferred to Automated Teller machine's. Microbes from the kitchen were also found on Automated teller Machines.

ATM keyboards in Manhattan had molds of baked products. This fungus may have been transferred from people who handle bakeries.

DNA obtained from Automated Teller machines may provide a record of human behaviour. Your ATM machines may also cause sexually transmitted disease.

Decomposed milk products were also found in many ATM machines. Some parasites found in the gut of humans was also found in some ATM machines. ATM machines may provide a record of environment. Many airborne germs were also found on the swabs took from Automated Teller Machines. So, it is safe to wash your hands with a handwash liquid or soap after using an Automated Teller Machine.
