Hello all my lovelies, this one’s down here is for those who believe that alcohol is the solution to all the problems in the world. A few drops in the body and you become the best version of yourself. But are you sure you know well about what ya drinking?
Let me help you out buddy,
Starting from the basics of what alcohol is. Except being the elixir of our lives and the only constant we have, alcohol is a family of chemicals. Being a part of the beverage industry alcohol usually implies a specific kind commonly known as ethanol or ethyl alcohol. Ethanol is one of the byproducts of yeast metabolism or fermentation as we know it. The yeast consumes sugar to give energy and later produces Carbon Dioxide, just like humans. Yes, start respecting yeasts .. They do as we do. But unlike humans, they produce alcohol too. So, who’s the cooler one? All hail YEASTS!!
Okey so broadly, most of the alcoholic beverages originate from Wines and Beers.
A one, a two, and many more for you.
BEER is fun, and light and not much of harm. Scientifically, beer is the fermented product of sugars obtained from the breakdown of complex starches. Before the yeast gets a hold of the sugar, it needs someone to come along and break down the starches. These helpers are known as enzymes which can be easily manufactured these days.
So basically, yeasts eats up the sugar in the grapes to produce Wine, and eats up the malted grains to produce Beer. Give that little monster anything to eat and it’ll give you alcohol. Shouldn’t we be petting them?
VODKA on the other hand is tipsy and risky. One shot after the other and you are already on fire. The water like liquor is full power and is one of the most neutral potable spirits. The liquor id diluted to bring down the craziness from 96% to a mere 40%, which is still a fine deal.
The best part- low maintenance. It has the least rules for its production; can be made from just about any base material, can be made just anywhere.
BRANDY is distilled from wine. Most brandy is distilled from wine made from grapes, while others rely on fruits likes plums, cherries and apricots. Brandy is produced all over the world with specific rules and methods of production varying with each country.
The sugar loaded RUM is produced from the product of byproducts of cane sugar. Blame the raw sugar canes for giving us the delicious rum. Rum is an alcoholic beverage worth savoring during the winter nights.
Coming to the more serious ones Whiskey And Scotch are the real deals.
WHISKEY is produced by fermenting barley, wheat, corn etc. The use of these grains varies depending on the local methods of production in different regions. It is a diluted spirit and is formed by producing alcohol through grain fermentation.
SCOTCH is a form of whiskey produced in Scotland. It is originally made from malt barley and follows the same process as whiskey.
As per my favorite is concerned, I am good with everything, but Vodka does get me high!
