Sounds like a strange question, doesn't it? It’s not. When your heart muscle is deprived of oxygen-rich blood, it leads to a stroke, and when that same heart is deprived of much-needed love, then it leads to heartbreak. This statement might sound slightly cheesy, but one can’t overlook the implications of heartbreak. People might ask you to get over it, but you know you can’t just sweep your feelings under the rug.
So coming back to our main question; what is worse of the two, a heart attack or heartbreak. To find out let’s take a look at the actual effects of the two health hazards. Also, we have listed down some of the movies that would give you some respite from the painful ordeal of heartbreak you are going through.
Heart-attack
If you are about to have a heart attack, then you are most likely to suffer from chest pain: tightness, heaviness, or a burning feeling in your chest. You will also experience pain all over your torso in your arms, neck, jaw, back or stomach. You may even start to sweat; feel light headed, nauseous and short of breath. It is a life-threatening problem and needs immediate medical attention. Also, cardiac arrest is different from a heart attack as in the case of a cardiac arrest; your heart stops pumping blood around your body.

Heartbreak
Some might find the idea ludicrous, but when your heart breaks, it hurts and sometimes the pain is so intense that it can turn into physical pain. At least, that’s what some scientists say. Terrible grief and anguish, a sinking feeling of your world falling apart and nothing making sense can have a terrible effect on your mental and emotional health. There is a parasympathetic system of your nervous system that takes care of functions such as digestion and producing saliva whereas the sympathetic nervous system prepares your body for action and increases your heart rate. When the two are turned on at once which happens when your emotions are actively triggered such as during heartbreak, the results can be terrible, even painful and make the person experience chest pains and breathing discomfort.
Broken Heart Syndrome
Heartbreak is as much as a risk factor for heart disease as smoking or stress; there is even an ailment called broken heart syndrome which is shockingly similar to heart attack. Broken heart syndrome is triggered by a stressful situation caused by the heartbreak and causes a sharp pain in the chest which is often even confused with a heart attack. Heart's normal pumping mechanism gets temporarily disrupted in one area of the heart. The remainder of the heart either functions normally or with more forceful contractions. This syndrome is also called apical ballooning syndrome or stress cardiomyopathy.

And all this time you thought that heartbreak is just a trivial problem and never really gave it much importance. While a heart attack is best left to experts to deal with, we might be able to provide you with some emotional crutch as far as heart breaks are concerned. They say love is a drug and when a drug is suddenly snatched away; you relapse. We won’t ask you to just get over it because it’s impossible; instead, we encourage you to feel your pain and cry it out. Although self-pity, in the long run, is very harmful, it’s not a bad idea to feel sorry over your problems for a few days. Get your girl gang or if you are a boy then your homies together, talk your heart out, get wasted and let your hair down. If nothing else, a few years from now, you will have memories to laugh about. In case you are a loner sort and need time picking yourself up then here is a list of movie that will cheer you up and perhaps help you realize something better waits just around the corner.
#1.Bridesmaid:
Kristen Wiig and her crazy sense of humor help her tackle a boyfriend who doesn’t love her, a business that went bankrupt and a best friend who is having a fabulous wedding. Annie’s life might be a truckload of disaster, but she handles it with suave and a whole lot of angst, awkwardness, and alcohol. Relatable isn’t it?

#2.Under the Tuscan Sun
Very few things can cure a broken heart, but if we prepare a list, then a villa in Italy would be somewhere in the top three. When Frances gets her heart broken and house taken by her ex-husband who falls for a younger woman, she does the unexpected and takes a bus to Tuscany. The journey helps her realize that love and family is a much broader term than what she previously thought. Plus the movie was shot in the gorgeous city of Italy. It would help you see the bigger picture of life and enjoy the beautiful Tuscany altogether.

#3.Bridget Jones Diary
A socially inept girl who is full of self-doubt and regularly works at finding love, at times going overboard in her search; is very close to how most us feel at times. The idea of two hot guys fighting over a bumbling bee is just something one can always fantasize about. It’s a good pick-me-up after hours of crying.

#7.Fight Club
The first rule of the break-up: You do not talk about the break-up. We apologize for butchering this classic line but if you are someone who likes grit and blood, then go for it and tackle heartbreak with a few kicks and punches.
