So I had planned on buying a violin from a friend, and I told my BEST friend about it, who then told my girlfriend that I wanted a violin. She goes online and buys one for me for $70 for our anniversary, as a surprise.. the only problem is that it's very cheaply made. The tuning pegs don't stay tight enough to keep the violin in tune, the strings are very cheap, the pickups are simple and don't sound very good, and the paint is very messy. I don't want to buy the original violin from my friend now (for obvious reasons) but I'd like a REAL violin...what should I do?
