How to be the Best Bridesmaid Ever?

Marriage is one long affair, long enough to make two people fall in love with each other, to commit to live together forever. Those two people decide to take their relationship forward and marriage becomes the ceremony to bind those two people in the holy bond. For the bride and the groom, the marriage ceremony feels like butterflies fluttering inside their stomachs but as soon as the ceremony comes closer those butterflies die under stress. Marriage is an event that will never happen again so the couple wants to make the most of their day. A lot of planning and scheduling goes on to make the marriage one happy affair. But the bride and the groom alone cannot work for the big day and that is when the bridesmaid and the groomsman kick in.

The bridesmaid is not only just the best friend but she is also the event manager, bride’s counselor, family’s counselor, the stylist, the designer, the laundry person, and the list goes on. A bridesmaid does not have only one role to play in her best friend’s marriage. She is the backbone who makes everything work through the entire process. From the day of announcement of the marriage till the entire event gets over a bridesmaid has to work. It is pretty obvious that this long affair will bring a lot of stress for the couple and the family. The mother of the bride is panicking and the bride is having second thoughts. They need someone to support them and to make them realize that everything is perfect. The bridesmaid has to be with the bride who will be going through a roller coaster of emotions because she will be starting a new life. It’s not easy for the bride. So, it becomes the responsibility of the bridesmaid to take care of the bride and the family along with arranging an amazing wedding ceremony. If you manage to live up to the expectations of the bride (which I can assure you are going to very high) then you will be remembered as the best bridesmaid ever. It is not going to be easy for you as well. How do you think you will be the best bridesmaid ever? Let us get acquainted with the ways in which you can be the best bridesmaid ever.

How To Be The Best Bridesmaid Ever?

#1. Save Today, Spend Tomorrow.

Start saving for the bachelorette and the other ceremonies from the day of the announcement or before if your friend had secretly informed you about her plan. The whole event is going to cost you a lot and cannot ask others to pay every time. You need to have a budget for yourself if you are going to be planning everything. Save from your salary or work a little extra to get enough money to spend. Keep some money separate from the ones saved which you can use during emergencies and if that money does not get used you can use it for something else.

#2. It's Now Or Never.

You know the date and the time left to arrange everything. Do not leave anything for later even if the occasion is months away. You need to start planning already. You need to book halls with the couple and you need to start organizing stuff that you will need for all the occasions. Usually, we leave some things for tomorrow that we think are not so important but when you need them you do not find them on time. This leaves a bad impression on the bride and the other guests who will be coming. Remember you have to prove yourself to be the best bridesmaid ever.

#3. End The War!

The biggest responsibility you have taken as a bridesmaid is to keep everything in harmony. You need to communicate with the bride about all the arrangements and the issues you are facing. Whatever it may be you need to talk about them with the bride because only she can resolve some issues. The second thing is that you need to mingle well with the other girlfriends so that there is no issue later on the big day. You may or may not like the other girls but for the bride’s sake, you have to like them or at least pretend to. You need to communicate your ideas and the other friend’s ideas to organize a rocking party that the bride will never forget. Do not make it unforgettable by fighting with others.

#4. The Wedding Dress

The most important thing for a bride is her dress and her groom. So, you should start window shopping for the dress so that you can buy a gorgeous dress for the bride at a cheaper price. The dress for the bride, for the other girlfriends, the family and yourself are a part of your responsibility. From watching over that nobody spoils the dress to seeing that the dresses fit everyone is going to be your job. The dresses are the most important part of the wedding because once the photographs are clicked you cannot change them. Follow the theme the bride wants because it is going to be her day. No matter how much you disagree it is her day make it memorable.

#5. Do Not Panic!

You will be saving the bride from the stress before the marriage and on the day marriage which will definitely affect you. You will be doing a lot of work that will leave you in stress. You will start panicking when you will not find things in the way as you planned. It is normal to panic a bit but do not allow the emotions take a toll on you. You have to play the savior and if you lose the control then everything will turn into havoc and the bride will never forgive you. So, it becomes important for you to take rest and calm your mind.

#6. No Bitching, No Bruising.

You are going to be surrounded by a lot of women some of which you like and some of which you dread. If you bitch about any of them in front of the bride then the bride will get more stressed. She is already so stressed that she wants to run away but if you gossip about things that are going on among the girls then you will be pushing your friend to jump off a cliff. So, do not create a scene by complaining about anyone or allowing a complaint reach the bride’s ears. Do not fight about anything with anyone.

#7. Party Like A Wildcat?

In the midst of all the preparations, you are going to forget that the marriage is a celebration. You are preparing to celebrate the communion of two people and a beginning of a new life. So, party hard and let your stress bust into pieces. The Bachelorette is going to be the celebration night. Enjoy as much as you can and make others happy. Laugh, dance but do not drink hard because you cannot afford to lose your senses. The bride is your responsibility. Do not let her drink much. Let your stress loose so that you are able to work vigorously on the wedding day.

#8. Pamper the Bride

As the marriage is about the bride it becomes necessary that the bride relaxes and looks the most beautiful lady on the big day. During this time, the bride may get breakouts on her skin due to overstress so it is necessary that she stays away from stress. Design her diet, do not let her eat fatty food or take alcohol. Take her for a spa or a full body massage to relax her muscles. You could join her to take your stress out because you have to look beautiful too. You are the bridesmaid and all the single men’s eyes will be on you. You have to look your best day on the wedding day.

#9. Keep An Eagle's Eye

You should have a checklist in your hands every time. Write everything on the checklist and keep marking positive for the things that have been done. You are not going to be the only one working as the duties have been parted among the friends. You have to check their work progress as well. So keep a track on what others have done. Keep it your goal to complete every single task before the wedding day. Do not save anything for later. Collect all the things like decorations, dresses, and makeup a day before with you so that the next day nobody is worried about picking up stuff.

#10. Mayday! Mayday!

You should always be prepared for the worst. Take a bag and keep all the things that can be used in case of emergencies that may not be available at the venue. You should keep a compact first aid box, needle and thread in case anybody’s dress tears, safety pins and hairpins etc. you should be ready with the emergency bag to save the day if anything wrong happens.
