This painful emotion can impel us to take corrective measures in order to rectify our mistakes which were committed in the past or could create a mindset of taking up a new path. However, we must also understand, the lesser the chances a person gets to rectify a mistake, the more pain it suffers from which has a drastic impact on his mental and physical well being. Regret is such a terrible feeling that effects our overall mental and physical well-being, therefore, it is way too necessary to deal with regret or bear the consequences. I remember hurting my parents once because of incessant drinking habits and it haunted down till the age of twenty-two. I had to overcome it somehow. So, finally, when I arrived at the age of twenty-two, I again apologized to them and promised never repeating such a mistake again. Though such things always remain at the back of your mind but we need to find a solution to deal with them in order to prevent our future or present getting affected.

So, the most effective way to deal with your regret according to me to understand it first. Understand how it came into existence or where it has been originated from. The origination point could be anything. Once you understand the reason, you will get other better ways to deal with it. You will also sense a feeling of satisfaction. It will impact your entire well-being in a positive manner. Also, after identification, start writing down points how you can improvise and not repeat the same mistake again. This is a sign of a wise person, trust me.

Also, you need to be compassionate in order to build up yourself. You need to comprehend that there are many people suffering from the same suffering and they too are struggling like you to find a sound solution. Never give up on yourself and constantly keep trying to improve. Remember, there is never a less room for improvement. Improvement is the beginning of a new life. What say?

I have learned in my life to never give up. Giving up is a sign of a weak person. I, therefore, consider myself a strong person with a strong mind.
