How to make Bath Bombs without Citric Acid?
“Do you know the bath bomb art?” If yes, then you a playful and an interesting person for sure! Bath bombs can be a little tough to make due to its one main element that is citric acid. Can you imagine making one without the use of citric acid? I’m sure you can since we will be helping you out!

We all know that citric acid and baking soda create a reaction that is fun and fizzy when given an opportunity to react with water. Other elements that can be added are such as oils, fragrance, color, glitter, and more. Later, the mixture is converted into fun shapes. Citric acid is a very common ingredient to find such as at places like lemon.

If you don’t have a citric acid around, let’s take up its replacement and figure out the consequence.

You must know that lemon juice also contains other elements such as water. Although, the citric acid you gain from lemon juice isn’t that dense and is diluted as it has water. Though lemon bath bombs won’t explode as strongly as the citric acid counterparts, they are seen doing the job. Try dropping it into the water to let the smell of the essential oils get immersed and then deliver the soothing baking soda.

Ingredients that have been used are:
#1.  Half cup of baking soda
#2. Half teaspoon of coconut oil
#3. Two to three teaspoons of lemon juice
#4.  Essential oils
#5. One spray bottle
#6. You could also get decorations or colorings if you wish to decorate. You could use decorations like lavender buds and cake sprinkles.

Instructions:
1.    Put a half-cup of baking soda in a big bowl.
2.    Add half a tablespoon of coconut oil. Mix with a spoon until well combined.
3.    Add some drops of essential oils. Use oils such as lavender, rose geranium and ylang ylang. Mix well after each drop.
4.    Put two to three tablespoons of lemon juice in a spray bottle.
5.    Carefully spray the mixture stirring well between each spritz of lemon juice. I’m sure you don’t want the mixture to start fizzing in the bowl!
6.    Mix till the mixture clumps together. Although, ensure that the mixture is wet. You can add more liquid to these than to bath bombs made with citric acid!
7.    Scoop 1 tablespoon of the mixture in your mold and press down softly with your fingers. Keep adding more till the time your mold is filled, pressing the mixture down as you go.

Once the bath bombs are prepared, you must set them aside to dry! Since it has no citric acid; it will take longer than regular bath bombs to settle down.
These bath bombs turn slightly yellow as they dry because of the lemon juice. If you don’t want this, you can choose your color by adding a few drops of food coloring to the mixture.

Take them out of their molds once they’re completely dry! And Voila! Your Bath Bomb is ready for use!
