How to reduce social media addiction

Social media has taken the world by storm and people seem to be addicted to it.

The increasing reach of social media has limited our social and family contacts and this trend needs to be checked.

Below we list certain measures which you can take to limit your social media addiction:

1. Turn off the notifications

The instinct of checking the notification and switching on to social media sites is something which needs to be checked. You should turn off your notifications so that no disturbance occurs in your regular work schedule.

2. Limit the Social Media use

You should develop the habit of limiting your social media use. Keep some fix hours when you check your social media accounts. Regular and unplanned logging on to social media sites will not help and you need to limit your social media usage.


3. Spend more time with friends

Instead of turning to social media, even at the smallest instinct you should spend more time with friends and family. This will increase your social circle and will help in controlling the addiction of checking on to social media sites often.
