Brahmamuhurata is time period between 3.30 a.m to 5.30 a.m or one hour and thirty minutes before the sunrise.
The mind will be calm after waking up at this time. This is suitable for meditation. At this time, the mind could be moulded easily. We can get divine thoughts at this period. At this time, our Satvik guna get's strong.
Yogis start their meditation at this period. You can take an effortless mental bath at this period. We should go to bed early, wake up early and start our day with exercise.
According to Ayurveda,
6.00 a.m. to 10.00 a.m. is kapha period.
10.00 a.m. to 2.00 pm. is pitta period.
2.00 p.m. to 6.00 p.m. is vata period
6.00 p.m. to 10.00 p.m. is kapha period.
1.00 p.m. to 2.00 p.m. is pitta period.
2.00 a.m. to 6.00 a.m. is vata period.
One should wake up, before sunrise in vata period and eliminate the waste from our body. We should start meditating. Waking up after sunrise may cause an imbalance of kapha in the body. This will lead to toxin formation in our blood.
What should we do in Brahmamuhurat?
We should wake up at Brahma Muhurta and brush our teeth. After brushing our teeth, we should consume a cup of warm milk or water and answer nature's call. After this start meditation. We should practice studying religious books and chant some stotras or OM. This will drive off laziness. Pranayama, Shirasana will drive off laziness. Student's should start studying at this period.
