We often lie without knowing or understanding the immediate and long-term consequences.
However, it is only rarely that we think that telling lies is not always bad. Below we list one such circumstance in which telling a lie is not entirely bad.
When you tell lie for someone’s betterment
Sometimes telling a lie turns into a blessing in disguise. This can be explained with a reference. Suppose your younger brother is very good in a sporting event, say cricket. However, your father does not approve of him ignoring the studies and playing. You somehow are able to convince your father that your younger brother is studying and not devoting time to sports when he is actually doing so. Later, when your brother becomes a popular cricketer, the father will realize his folly and will not scold you for telling a lie. This has happened in the life of many of our sporting stars and they had to cook stories to convince their parents that they were not into sports when they actually were doing so.

However, this does not mean that you should make telling a lie your regular habit as this is likely to impact your personal and professional performance in long run.
