The pollution levels that elevated in the year 2016 were the highest Delhi could have witnessed in last 10 years. In fact, festival time is the most critical, as Diwali celebrations actually turn the city into a gas chamber. Air quality just worsens and it even becomes hard to breathe.
So, to make that not happen again, this year (2017) Supreme Court took the decision to ban the sale of firecrackers in Delhi and NCR till the 1st of November. But, don't you think festivals are just an extension to the list of reasons that contribute to such havoc? Aren't we responsible to curb all the cynical activities all throughout the year?
Though it isn't a complete ban on crackers, but, do you think this action is entirely justified? And would it really help in lowering the pollution levels?

yes we really need to stop burning crackers. breathing the pollution caused by them decreases our life span too.
Yes, I support the supreme court's decision to ban the crackers.
Yes. It will reduce pollution.
No. Though Chetan Bhagat was trolled for speaking his mind, the fact is you can't control air pollution by banning crackers if the next day you have more than a million cars on the roads emitting ten times more pollution.
Yes, it is. Crackers are deadly. Nice decision.
Yes, I do believe that Supreme Court's decision is rational. It was about time we did somebody for the environment. Though it may not make a huge difference in the air quality of the national capital, every small step counts.
