Since there was no doctor on the plane, a nurse traveling to Kerala volunteered to provide medical assistance and helped the crew in delivering the baby.
As soon as the plane landed in Mumbai, the mother and her baby boy were rushed to a hospital nearby, and are said to be doing fine. The flight later resumed its services after a delay of 90 minutes and reached its final destination at 12:45 PM.
