Nokia 3, Nokia 5 & Nokia 6 Launched In India

HMD Global, the Finnish startup that is the custodian for manufacturing and selling of Nokia branded phones unveiled 3 new Nokia smartphones today in an event. They introduced the Nokia 3, Nokia 5, and Nokia 6. All these 3 devices will be Made in India smartphones.

The Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 will be available exclusively offline in India and are priced at Rs 9,499 and Rs 12,899 respectively. Nokia 6, which is the most premium of the lot, will not be sold offline. It is an Amazon exclusive device, priced at Rs 14,999. The Nokia 3 will be the first among the 3 to hit the market and will be available starting June 16. The other 2 devices have to be pre-booked with the dates of pre-booking for Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 being July 7 and July 14 respectively.

Apart from these key specifications, the device also comes with a sculpted Gorilla Glass protection and a fingerprint sensor. It also has OTG support. It is a Dual-sim device with 4G connectivity.

Just like its elder brother, the Nokia 5 will also sport a Corning Gorilla Glass protection and a fingerprint sensor. It will be available in 4 colors of Tempered Blue, Silver, Matte Black, and Copper.

Unlike the other 2 devices, the Nokia 3 lacks a fingerprint sensor and that is justifiable provided its low price point. With these 3 devices, Nokia is trying to tap into that budget smartphones category and the pricing seems quite competitive. However, in times where you get so much by spending a little less, it needs to be seen how these 3 devices fare against the Motos and Micromaxs of the tech-world.
