Often enough our minds are conditioned to accept the ludicrous and cast aside the truth. This is specifically called conditioning of the mind or mind control. The idea that there is more to this world hidden behind shadows is not something every human mind can comprehend. One such bewildering facet beyond the realm of the ordinary is the secret societies.
These elite societies have existed for eons and some of the greatest, most fascinating and at times dangerous minds have been part of these groups. There rituals and practices invoke curiosity in few and dread in others.
While many have claimed the authenticity of these societies; there are those who have rebuffed the whole thing as ludicrous. Some of the most prominent secret societies are:
#1. Bilderberg Group
There are some who believe that people elected government runs nations and then there are those who are of the belief that governments are appointed. According to them, those pulling strings are the wealthy and powerful; The Rothschild, The Rockefellers, The Morgans and other equally rich bank owners.
The secret Bilderberg meetings are so discrete that no one from media is allowed in and participants are not authorized to divulge even the minutest details. Apparently, this is where the future of not just one nation but the entire planet is discussed, and leaders are appointed.

#2. Skull and Bones
This secret society was formed at the prestigious Yale University and is the creator of the term ‘The Elite.' The members of this group are carefully selected and later somehow always rise to become prominent figures in the world.
William Taft, McGeorge Bundy, George W. Bush, Austan Goolsbee, Dana Milbank have all been a part of this society, and they all have an association with the White House. Go figure!

#3. Illuminati
The most infamous name among secret societies that is equally attractive and repulsive is the Bavarian Illuminati. From mind control to global domination, this group has got it all covered, or so many believe.
This society was found during the old era when people Like Leonardo Da Vinci who were ardent opposers of the Catholic Church wanted to bring the great and enlightened under one roof. Thus, came into existence, the Order of the Illuminati.
Though officially they disbanded, the group continued to exist and thrive. They are now the ones who ascertain every big move be it in politics, industry, media, and entertainment.
Recent evidence of subliminal messaging being hidden in movies and music videos also point towards the mind control agenda of the group. The group operates in secrecy and through strategic propaganda. They have been held responsible for 69 moon landing, JFK's assassination, 9/11, Area 51, AIDS, and the NWO(New World Order)

#4. Freemasons
James Monroe, George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, John Hancock, Paul Revere, Clark Gable, Franklin D. Roosevelt and Oscar Wilde; these are some of the most remarkable men that the world has ever seen. Another common factor about them is that they were all Freemasons.
The grand lodge is home to the most influential names on the planet, and their symbol is plastered on the American dollar bill. The All Seeing Eye has made its way into countless movies, videos, and book covers and according to many, this represents the hold Freemasons have. They do not subscribe to any religious belief but acknowledge the existence of an all-pervading supreme being.

#5. Ordo Templi Orientis (O.T.O.)
Also known as Order of the Temple of the East, this fraternal and religious organization was started in the 20th century. Perhaps the most infamous member of this secret society was the Great Beast 666, Aleister Crowley. He was an English occultist, ceremonial magician, poet, painter, novelist, and mountaineer.
The man started a religion called Thelma and headed the British branch of Ordo Templi Orientis. Crowley on his part though was just a man fascinated with the occult and wanted to dig deep into the mysteries it held. He wanted to use this knowledge to awaken conscious beings and help them grow.
His reputation though earned him the label of being The Wickedest Man in the World. His famous dictum ‘’Do what thou wilt,” is used by many occult based groups including Satanists.
