Why detoxing your armpits is important and how to do it?

Armpits are the body's entry and exit points. We need to sweat to expel toxins. In the process, your armpits may get clogged. Deodorants help you to smell good but there are many harmful chemicals in it like Aluminium, parabens, formaldehyde, pthalytes and many others. Aluminium is linked with breast cancer. Formaldehyde acts as a carcinogenic substance. Parabens and Pthalytes are hormone disruptions.

Putting all these substances on your armpits is not safe. An armpit detox will pull out all the chemicals found under your armpit. Things may get worse before showing positive results during the detox. You may also develop rashes. But this is short term. It will pull out all the toxins. You can do a simple armpit detox using Baking soda. It is super easy. Here is how to do armpit detox.

Baking Soda

First, scrub your underarms using a loofah. Wet your underarms and apply Baking soda and water paste. This will remain as a natural deodorant. You can wash and reapply baking soda when you start getting odour from your armpits. You should do this continuously for a week. Drink plenty of water, during the detox. Always dry brush your skin. This will increase blood circulation. Start from your feet towards the heart.

Wearing cotton clothes

Another way to naturally detox your armpits is by wearing natural fibre like cotton.

Diet

Stay away from caffeine, alcohol and fried foods. Drink plenty of water. Eat lots of leafy vegetables. Drink lemon juice or Apple cider vinegar drink early in the morning. Add one teaspoon of lemon or Apple Cider Vinegar to a glass of water and drink early in the morning on an empty stomach daily.

Hygiene

Wipe your body with a towel after bathing, otherwise damp area may cause bacteria build up.

Cornstarch

Mix one teaspoon of cornstarch with one teaspoon of Baking soda and apply on your armpits. This acts as a natural and safe deodorant.
