Love him or hate him but you can't deny the aura of Shah Rukh Khan to morph you into his stardom cocoon. Right from his irresistible dimples to his signature dialogue delivery and the chocolaty boy image, SRK has created ripples in the industry that stays unparalleled. He is popularly referred as the ‘lady’s man,' and has been the fantasy for many girls, irrespective of his marital status.
Blame his charisma or his wittiness which has been pivotal in sustaining his stardom. People love him for the years of entertainment that he delivered and probably will keep on loving him with all their hearts. Before concluding this as a conjecture, just have a look at the long queue (of his fans) outside his house! You will get an idea.

King Khan is etched in the hearts and souls of the millennial and the previous generation alike. He started his career from a TV series Fauji in the 1980s. His first big hit was the film Deewana where he was the second male lead.
But, the romantic roles did not make him a superstar. Yes, it was the anti-lead films in which Shah Rukh’s acting was praised widely by the critics. Since then, he did many blockbuster films of such theme that actually brought him to fame and success.

Many believed that Shah Rukh Khan was the man who brought an entirely different style of acting in the Bollywood. But, transitions in this industry are almost impossible. The audiences are usually very perceptive, but Shah Rukh came across as an exception. He was equally applauded for his romantic and antagonistic characters.
His first romantic movie (after the anti-hero films) was Karan Arjun, where Salman Khan played his brother’s role. The movie was packed with high doses of drama, action, romance, and tragedy. It was an insane hit and cracked up the box office collections. Since then, there has been no looking back for the super star.

However, after all this time in the industry, his glory might be fading a bit. Just like they say, there is a right age for everything, Shah Rukh is past the college romances, and he needs to understand that. Yes, we know that they are just acting, but then how long do you expect the audience to believe the unbelievable? Gone are the days when the viewers went to the theatre to watch the picturesque movies and the good looking actors, they are looking for realistic cinema these days.
If age makes you smarter and wiser then why isn't the actor choosing better scripts? Why do they still want to keep dancing to the romantic tracks on the streets of New York? And what’s with the castings? How can Shahrukh be cast against Kajol and Anushka Sharma at the same time? While the age-difference might not be the only catastrophe, SRK taking up roles that are totally contrasting to his age and image. How is this justified?

Our audience has been well-accustomed to actors basking in the glory of stardom for a long, while the actresses take a back-seat and rather play roles like that of SRK's mom in Kal Ho Naa Ho.Call it a disgrace or biased approach, Bollywood certainly needs to amp up the concept of role-reversal. SRK has been quite a versatile actor, and his incredible roles have proved to be a cornerstone in the Inian cinema, yet we're expecting a lot more out of this power-packed man.

Stating the above, it is also important to note that Shahrukh did experiment with his roles in movies like “Chak De India,” where he played a coach of the Indian Women Hockey Team and 'Dear Zindagi,' where he was a famous psychiatrist- all in all, where he acted his age. The movies were well-received by the audience. Let’s hope he comes with something new this time.
