7 Blockbuster Bollywood Films That Portrayed Stalking As LOVE

The film industry in India is known for producing a massive number of films every year. This is precisely because of two major reasons: Bollywood offers just the right pinch of drama and sass to influence our audience, and secondly, the entertainment industry has witnessed a drastic change in terms of turnover and profit-making.

As a matter of fact, movies lay a solid foundation to influence the audience in both right and wrong ways. This further carves a way to fight the stereotypes and raising your voice to put forward valid points, for instance; acceptance of love marriages and embracing passion instead of being the victim of pressure (parental and peer), etc.

In fact, there is a whole list of films that have the same concept, and some of them are love stories! Well, no wonder why stalking has been on such a rise. Check out these weird movies:

#1. Darr(1993)

Star Cast:  Shah Rukh Khan , Juhi Chawla, Sunny Deol

Featuring a stalker Rahul, who is following the whereabouts of beautiful and charming Kiran by way of making hoax calls and sounding like an absolute nasty creepy guy when he utters "Kiran". Every time, he orgasms at her huge wallpapers adorning the walls of his room, we're almost choked.

#2. Deewana Mujhsa Nahi (1990)

Star Cast: Amir Khan, Madhuri Dixit

When the photographer Ajay falls for the ever-gorgeous Anita and traps her into a cocoon of stalking with his highly-skilled acumen, that's when Anita leaves her beau Vikram and marries Ajay. The plot was not only insane but downright distasteful.

#3. Raanjhanaa (2013)

Star Cast: Dhanush, Sonam Kapoor, Abhay Deol

The plot revolves around the wacky unrequisite love story in the backdrop of old alleys in Varanasi. While the protagonists follow, tracks and keep a check on Sonam and her activities, she does what all girls do with a stalker. Ignore, guy ignore! Well, look like Dhanush is up to some antics of getting into the maddening stalker soul when he slits his wrist in an attempt to win her prey.

#4. Anjaam (1994)

Star Cast: Shahrukh Khan, Madhuri Dixit

Another film where SRK gets to play a dangerous stalker. Only this time with a different girl. Here, things go a little too out of hand where the stalker kills the Madhuri's husband and waits for her to come in. Heights of creepiness, eh!

Well, the plot is absurd and makes us go awry while at the same time, we feel stalkers should not ever be portrayed in the proper light as SRK was.

#5. Sholay

Star Cast: Amitabh Bachan, Dharmendra, Hema Malini

This all-time legendary movie is still etched in the hearts of every Bollywood buff and cinema aficionados. Well, the romantic angle involving Dharmendra and Hema Malini was nothing less than dramatic while the former proposes Hema on a tower to marry him or he shall commit suicide- major stalking skills here.

#6. Tere Naam

Star Cast: Salman Khan, Bhoomika Chawla

A signature Salman Khan movie that got all the roadside Romeos flaunting the much-wacky hairstyle narrates a story of a badass college guy. He, who falls for a naive and innocent Bhumika, undergoes a series of insane acts to lure her love. While the plot was ridiculous, the critics bashed out, but the stalkers got a good reason to follow their hearts. Uhh!

#7. Badri Ki Dulhaniya

Star Cast: Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt

Is it too easy to fall for a guy who sings, blabbers and portray serious cheesy antics to attract the pretty struggling girl? Well, we would just give a piece of our mind to the writers ruining the cinema with such filthy plots.
