Yogurt contains live bacteria that accelerate the growth of flora, a natural bacterium inside your cat’s stomach. Here are some other reasons that will make you feed your cat with yogurt right away!

Can Cats Eat Yogurt?

Just like all the other pet owners, you are always interested in feeding your cat with everything that you eat, and you definitely should. But being a responsible owner it is your duty to make sure that there could be certain food items or dairy products that might be bad for your cat.

Plain and unsweetened yogurt can be healthy and beneficial for your cat until it is not allergic to dairy products. Try feeding her with small amounts initially to make sure she remains safe and healthy.

Feed her with only unsweetened and plain yogurt because flavored yogurt contains sugar and additives which will prove to be unhealthy for your cat.

Do not feed her with yogurt on a regular basis, just add two or three teaspoons once a while preparing her meal. Do not increase the mentioned quantity if you wish to prevent several digestive issues which would make your cat purr in pain.

Cats are carnivores; therefore they do get sufficient amounts of nutrients from the meat they consume. So do not feed them with yogurt as a means of nutrients but just as an add-on to their regular meals.

Can Cats Eat Yogurt With Honey?

Pet cats could get really picky. Unlike dogs, they don’t jump on a jar of honey and gulp it down in a blink of an eye. Honey is a naturally sweet and therefore won’t cause much harm. While feeding your feline with artificially flavored or additionally sweetened yogurt serve as a health hazard to her, yogurt with honey is not a major concern.

Yogurt For Cats With Diarrhea?

Because of their playful nature, cats usually end up gulping down hairballs or other harmful substances that might upset their stomach. Digestive problems can lead to vomiting, dehydration and the worst diarrhea.

Yogurt with probiotic nature helps your cats in developing healthier bowel movements. This results in relieving their digestive problems. The active bacteria in yogurt relax all sorts of inflammation in the cat’s stomach or throat.
