You will agree with us if we say that humor couldn’t get any darker than this. Death doesn’t apparently feature amongst anything that one would ever fake, but anything is possible in the strange world of mass media and internet. One such trend, that probably no one had seen coming from a long way and left countless people stunned, worried and horrified, was death hoax of celebrities. Some obnoxious mind probably thought it’s a great idea to spread false news of a celebrity death and watch in amusement as grief pours from everywhere.
1. Paul McCartney: Many of you would be surprised to know that amongst the very first to be a victim of this twisted joke was The Beatles' star. He was rumored to be dead in the 1960s but thankfully the rumor was subdued, due to the lack of social media.

2. Jackie Chan: Everyone’s favorite martial art expert who gained recognition fighting felons on-screen had to kick aside the rumors of his death that spread like wildfire in the year 2016.

3. Clint Eastwood: The legendary actor is among the latest in terms of death hoaxes. He was supposedly found dead at his Brentwood, California home and many even believed the rumor until the star himself put them to rest.

4. Morgan Freeman: He may be the most respected face in the industry, but that didn’t save him from being at the receiving end of this sick joke. Many fell prey to the news that Morgan Freeman passed away in his Burbank home until the truth finally came out.

5. Jaden Smith: The famous son of a successful movie star Will Smith had to endure the same nuisance that his father went through a few years back. In the year 2016, news emerged on the internet that Jaden Smith committed suicide. The claims were obviously proven false when the star appeared alongside his dad at the premiere of Suicide Squad.

6. Eminem: The rapper is beyond doubt at top of his game but he has often courted controversies due to the lyrics of his rap song. Twisted and dark may not be words that he is unacquainted with but even he did not foresee the fake death reports that circulated the internet last year. The star, of course, is alive and ready to mark the 15th anniversary of The Eminem Show.

7. Chris Brown: He may have courted a lot of controversies but seems like someone took it too far by spreading fake news of Chris’s death not just on Twitter but also YouTube. His fans were not too happy when RIP Chris Brown started doing rounds at all social media circuit and did their utmost best to squash the rumors.

8. Celine Dion: The famous singer of My Heart Will Go On made the news again but this time for a very grim reason. She was declared dead by social media sites such as Twitter and needless to say her fans were shocked and offended.

9. Justin Beiber: The Baby!Baby! Star is controversy's favorite child, so, it comes as a no surprise that he was killed off by the internet, not once but twice. The star though took the whole thing in good humor and replied, "I had to check on this one...but it turns out I'm alive”.
