Do you believe that dead people come back to life as ghosts?

Death alters several expectations, but death is even termed as inevitable. Once a person is dead, he/she no longer possess a communication with the physical world. Every possible way of living a life on earth or physical dimension is cut off. The body either decomposes due to unnatural death or is cremated with various beliefs if it gets a proper burial method. But the theory of ghosts, even after life is well discussed by people for over a generation now. They believe, though some of them, that a person leads a life that is completely different than a normal one just after death. They are termed as ghosts and spirits.

I strongly oppose this thought. There is no possible way that after death, a human can possibly exist in our atmosphere or in this dimension. Although a lot of spiritualist and people who practice afterlife procedures have a strong acceptance of ghosts, still there is not much evidence to prove that they really exist. People term ghosts as beings with extraordinary powers. Sometimes a magic is also termed as a ghostly activity. But needless to say, people believe in things which they want to believe. An atheist who doesn’t have faith in God or his existence is hardly seen speaking of an afterlife. The fact that he dismisses the theory of God made him susceptible to the idea that there is no ghost in real life.

People who claim to see ghosts or an apparition of certain individuals have a deep love or affection for the same person. Often people who think about certain individuals, experience their presence even if they are not with them. I have seen and met individuals who are alive but are imagined by their closed one at the place where the former can't even reach. These projections are all in the head and appear because of overthinking.

Sometimes people who are too much attached to their relatives or close ones feel disheartened after the death of these people. This, in turn, results in hallucinations. Scientifically, researchers say ghostly apparitions are 80 percent hallucination. They can be a cause of severe trauma which the person is experiencing or even at times can be drug induced. But only 20 percent or even less than that, have substantial evidence that ghosts do exist. Even theory suggests that the percentage of sightings of ghosts or other heavenly creatures are plain mischief played by different individuals to create a buzz and get famous.

Our ancestors always believed in ghosts and spirits. Provided there was less science and more mythology during those days, they were bound to follow what their generation said to them. But with more increase in research and scientific studies, there is less evidence that suggests the existence of ghosts. There are instances, though, where real pictures were claimed to be taken that had a ghostly apparition in it. After much research, many pictures have been found to be true and are not morphed. But that doesn’t clearly indicate that we are surrounded by ghosts. The pictures which do portray strange beings must be taken at an angle that portrays the particular being as a ghost. No doubt people due to sheer curiosity and to gain publicity, develop new ideas to claim the existence of ghosts.

Around 30 to 40 percent people of a particular community have a belief regarding ghosts. Even at times during childhood, I was prone to several stories that led me to believe that ghosts do exist. But with the course of time, I have achieved enough knowledge to know that ghosts are just projections that appear mainly due to our thought process. Several instances where a person or even an immature child lost his/her life, has been seen mostly by his/her close ones. At times among the closed ones, it is the mother or father who has sightings of them. This happens because of the sudden detachment of the person from the young one. Unnatural death at times can be very painful and the thoughts that arise in a person’s mind force him/her to see projections of the dead. Gradually a ghostly myth is created.

Several groups exist which force people to believe in ghost and black magic. They take the advantage of the person’s loss because of his/her beloved one and perform certain rites to make the living talk with the dead. In this process, they earn a lot of money just because of the misery that has been felt greatly by the person. As a result, many other individuals are also referred by these deceased people and a chain gets created where people believe in ghost and apparitions.

No doubt these days’ people are more obsessed with magic and illusions. They want things to be less practical and more reliable on assumptions. Ghost is nothing but a myth that is being followed by our generation of the human for quite a time now. If we go on by the evidence and try to be strong, then these things will not last long in our society. It is we who give birth to these assumptions and continue to live in fear.
