When we watch a movie or see an advertisement on TV, we always have one thing on our minds. How much is this celebrity worth of? How much does he earn? Well, to put these questions at rest, I thought of writing a piece to put your mind at peace!
I also wonder how to earn that much money to live lavishly just like these celebs. But I don’t think everyone is capable of minting so much money like they do. I also feel everyone has the potential to become as rich as them.

1) Shahrukh Khan (Net Worth 600Million$) – I admire Shahrukh for being a self-made man who he is today. Without any inherited property or any connections in the Bollywood, he made a name for himself in the industry. He has become a well-known and a successful actor in Hollywood too. He has some remarkable movies to his fame such as Kal ho naa ho (My all-time favorite), Chak de India, Swades, DDLJ, My Name is Khan, and a lot more, I need not tell. He started off his career by some Doordarshan shows named Fauji and Circus. But very few people know he also appeared in a Doordarshan movie written by Arundhati Roy called “In Which Annie Gives It Those Ones” which was critically acclaimed. There is no doubt that he is the “King Khan” or the Badshah of Bollywood.
2) Amitabh Bachchan (Net Worth 400Million$) – The man doesn’t need any introduction. Who doesn’t like Amitabh Bachchan? He became famous for his super-hit movie roles in the 70’s. He has some really nice movies to his name like Zanjeer, Sholay, Don, Agneepath, a much more. He is an amazing actor and a good human being. He also promotes Gujrat Tourism and supports many charitable organizations. He also hosts the very famous “Kaun Banega Crorepati”. He is also a singer and has sung many songs for his movies!
3) Salman Khan (Net Worth 230 Million$) – Salman Khan has acted in more than 75 movies and thus, has become a household name among Indians! His film Maine Pyaar Kiya had got him his very first Award, after that, there was no looking back for this actor. However, this actor is always surrounded by a lot of controversies and we all know what these controversies are! But I don’t think that affects the actor even a bit.
4) Akshay Kumar (Net Worth 190Million$) – This guy is the all-in-one package deal, an all-rounder. My another favorite. He is a versatile actor, producer of many movies, a great martial artist, performs his own stunts, and a great human being - works with multiple charities to help people in need. Before entering Indian Film Industry, he also worked as a Chef at a Bangkok’s Restaurant to support his martial arts fees. Again, we have a self-made man here!
5) Aamir Khan (Net Worth 185 Million$) – His first film was Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, that gained him a lot of popularity among young women as the “chocolate boy”. He also acted in few movies as a child artist too. My favorite movie is Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar where he plays a lover boy and gets disheartened to know that his love interest loves only money but him and then he takes part in a cycle race to win his father’s trust back. Cute story! And I believe everyone loves the movie. Nowadays he has become very selective and does fewer movies but those movies get highly appreciated among Indians.
6) Hrithik Roshan (Net Worth 70 Million$) – The actor appeared in his first movie, Kaho naa yaar hai in 2000. The film was the highest grosser that year. And as expected young girls including me and my friends had got hooked on him. He received at least a thousand marriage proposals that year! Hrithik is famous for his versatile acting skills and great work ethics. He endorses several brands and started a clothing line called as “HRX”.
7) Ranbir Kapoor (Net Worth 66 Million$) - Belongs to the very famous “Kapoor Family”. The is also the grandson of the “Showman of the Indian Cinema” Raj Kapoor and cousin of Karisma and Kareena Kapoor. Ranbir’s first film was a Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film Saawariya, which tanked at the box office but earned him appreciation from the critics. He got his first success with his movie which is my favorite too- Wake up Sid! After that, he gave some remarkable movies such as Barfi, Rockstar, Yeh jawan hai Deewana, Rajneeti, Tamasha (all are my favorite, I love Ranbir too much).
8) Irrfan Khan (Net Worth 50Million$) - Irrfan Khan started his career with the famous serial “Chandrakanta” and short stories that aired on Television in the 90’s. He is known for his unconventional choice of movies like The namesake, The Life of Pi, Salaam Bombay and The Lunchbox. He also acted in Indian series named as Star Bestsellers, which got him noticed by the viewers. He also acted in the film “Jurassic World” directed by the most renowned Director “Steven Spielberg”.
9) Ajay Devgan (Net Worth 30Million$) –His first film was Phool Aur Kaante, which was a super-hit. After receiving a National Award for his role in the movie Zakhm, Ajay got himself included in the A-listers.
