How To Add Contacts To Facetime?

Now that you have activated the Facetime app, you would be eager to make the first call using it. However, for that, you first need to have contacts in your phone. If this is the first time that you’re using an iPhone, then you have to manually add contacts to your phonebook. However, if you have had an iPhone before, you can simply migrate the contacts on your new iPhone. Once you have contacts in your phonebook, they will automatically get synced to your Facetime account.

Is Skype Better Than Facetime?

Skype is a popular video-calling app just like Facetime, and the two are the biggest rivals in this genre. Skype is more popular than Facetime due to the simple fact that the Facetime app is restricted to only iDevices, whereas Skype can be installed on any platform including Android, Windows, and even iOS. So, because Skype is compatible with more devices and platforms, it is more popular than Apple’s Facetime app, but certainly not better.

As an Apple user, I prefer using Skype than Facetime. I think, Facetime is a restricted app while Skype is more universal in terms of its usage. It can be used by android, IOS or windows user. It is more effective and user friendly and flaunts a good interface. What I found to be the drawback of the app was the initial setup. It's a bit non-interactive for first time users.
