When somebody asks you the definition of life what do you say? What do you think is life? Do you often end up replying that your life is hell? Or do you answer that you hate your life? If you ask me I would say that life is wonderful. Life is full of marvels whose explanations go beyond your thinking. How did this world exist? But life is not just the wonders of the world; it is much more. Life is the amalgamation of ups and downs, bliss and sorrow, and health and sickness. Life is full of unexpected things that may give you contentment or the exact opposite. You will never know what comes next.
While life may be wonderful for me, it may not be for others. Every person has their own set of complaints with life. What do we all need in life - money, family, and love in life? Someone is unhappy because s/he is not rich. A rich person may not be pleased because he does not have a family. On one hand, a couple who is married may not be happy because they cannot have a child, on the contrary, a couple may not be happy because their child left them alone. So, life is the least that you expect from it.
We all have our problems; some may be minor whereas some may be huge. It depends on the person’s outlook that decides how huge their problems are. For a student scoring a good grade may be very difficult but winning a chess match is not because he is not afraid of losing there that he may not have a fear of. How we weigh our problems depend on us and how we tackle them also depends on us. There are various ways in which you can change the way you see your life. Let us go through some ways of how you can stop hating your life.
#1. Do Not Expect
“Blessed is he who expects nothing, for he shall never be disappointed.” – Alexander Pope
Any individual who does not expect anything from life never gets disappointed. Disappointments come to those who keep high expectations from their lives. Do you think life is fair? If you think that everything you ever desire will get to you, then you are wrong. Everything in the world cannot be yours. You will lack something in life because if you don’t, then you will not understand their worth in your life. Remember people say that you only know the worth of an object when it goes away from you. So, do not wish for everything and do not expect anything. What you will get is what you deserve and if you still want extra joy in life then work hard for it. Work hard day and night until you achieve it but do not blame your life if you do not.
Keep working harder until you succeed. Great expectations may lead to great fall and when you fall you will hit the ground hard. Do not run after perfection because flaws make a human. If there is something that you cannot change then do not worry about it.

#2. Your Goals
What is that you hate about your life? Why do you hate your life? Is that you are unable to achieve a goal? Or are you stuck somewhere you do not want to be? One reason could be that you have failed to manage your life goals. You have not been able to stick to one job for long because you are unsure about what you want to achieve in life. When you do not have a direction in life, there are more possibilities of being unhappy with your current situation. You cannot understand what works better for you. You like to dance, but you are pursuing a career in medicine. Both the fields have no connection to each other, and this is why you hate your life. You may be working somewhere to secure yourself financially, but your heart wants to be somewhere it feels right. Your mind is not where your heart is. This clash between your heart and brain brings a halt in following your goals.

#3. Don’t Like It? Change It
If you are discontent with your life, then make changes in it. I know you cannot leave everything and start a new life, but you can try to change the existing scenario. You can begin with small changes that do not require extra efforts from you or the people around you. If you are unhappy with your job, then start finding the one that you like and when you find the right opportunity leave your current job. If you are displeased in a relationship, then end it. Do not wait for things to heal on their own because they will not survive without your interference. Whatever that is you want to change begin preparing for the change today. Every change will need its time so do not expect more than you should as mentioned in point number one. Learn to let go things that disturb you in your life.

#4. Seek Help
If you feel that even change cannot make you happy or that changes are not possible, then you should seek help. If you are feeling suicidal, then share your feelings with someone who will understand you and not judge you. If you think that you do not want to trouble your close ones, then take help from someone who is experienced and specialized in counseling. Meet your counselor or your psychologist and express your fears and feeling of leading an unfulfilled life. One should not hide anything from a lawyer and a doctor. Do not hide any of your feelings or experiences, no matter how embarrassing they are. A counselor or a psychologist is trained to listen to his patient without being judgmental. Your counselor can advise you about how you should start thinking and how to cope up with such suicidal thoughts. Giving up on life may be the only option you think you have, but it is not true. If you seek help from other people, you will gather another opinion of life, and it will give you more reasons to live.

#5. Move Out
Do not confine yourself inside your house because you think that the world is not a good place to be in. You hate your life and above that, you stay in solitary anywhere you go. This is the most unjust thing that you are doing to yourself. When you stay lonely, you start developing the feeling of worthlessness and meaninglessness. You start feeling like you do not belong anywhere but that is not true. So pack your bags and move out someplace you wanted to be but not alone. Hangout with your friends and family, go on vacation with them and leave all the stress behind.

#6. The Meaning Of Life
You may or may not believe that every human has a purpose in life. Even if you do not believe so then discover a purpose for yourself. Explore what life has in store for you. Find the meaning of your existence. Your purpose in life may be to serve the ones in need. If little homeless children call you or if you cannot see the condition of physically ill people then listen to the call. Listen to the voice inside that tells you what your purpose is in life. Start meditating to calm your mind and to learn to control your desires. When you will start meditating, you will be able to connect with your inner voice. Your inner voice is the voice of your conscience that will guide you to the depths of your soul, and you will know what you should do.

#7. Stay Busy
Work! Work! Work!
Keep yourself busy but not so much that you completely involve yourself in work and do not leave time for anything else. Time to relax is as important as work. You should work so that you are not idle. An idle mind is that of the devil. So keep yourself busy and achieve your goals that you have set for yourself despite the difficulties you face. Do not give up without trying hard because one day you will regret not giving yourself one chance to prove yourself to others.

#8. Practice Health
“Health is wealth” is an old saying. We all know how important it is to stay healthy because, without health, other things will be of no worth in life. Start exercising every day for at least 15 minutes. Either hit a gym or join yoga classes, whichever works best for you. Yoga has become a healthy trend all across the world through which you will get an opportunity to learn about a different culture. Practice yoga or meditation, you can go for morning walks or walk after your night’s meal. You should get plenty of sleep so that you wake up fresh and active. If you do not get a good night’s sleep, then you will remain aggravated the next day. Eat healthy food and avoid junk food. Eating healthy has no concern with your body size or shape, but it concerns healthy organs. If you want healthy organs in your body and you want your organs to perform their tasks efficiently then start eating healthy. Surround yourself with nature and enjoy your life in every way possible.

There is always a moment in everyone’s life when they say “I hate my life”. We are frustrated and out of anguish, we utter that we do not like our life but somewhere we all know that we are blessed to be living in this world. Life has become hectic in the twenty-first century. Nobody has a moment to breathe without tension in their heads. Most of the times we feel that all the problems in the world have fallen upon our heads but that is not true. The grass is always greener on the other side. Each person has their own set of problems to deal with but the difference is that some people handle their problems well and some do not. How does a person handle a problem better than the other?
The person is an optimist. A person who has a positive outlook towards life has the ability to solve their problems faster and in a better way than the ones who always think negatively about a situation. The power of positivity is that it makes things happen just by imagining it positively.
A person who is active always solves his problems in life without bragging about them because the person knows the value of time. The person is not lazy or lethargic to wait for the problem to get solved itself. One must always act quickly to solve their problems as soon as they appear.
The person has control over his emotions. This person knows that sometimes it is better to work rationally than working with emotions. A person who does not let emotions rule his mind solves his problems in life easily. When you let your emotions decide you may sometimes over the judge or under judge the situation. So, it is better to think from your mind and feel from your heart.
A person who makes excuses can never solve their problems in time. When a person makes excuses they are actually delaying the process of problem-solving and increasing the time of being in that situation. The longer the problem stays the longer you suffer.
When you are open to risks or adventures your life becomes exciting. So, a person who takes risks always knows how to come out triumph from the problems that are risky to solve. These people are daring and bold. They have confidence and their self-esteem is higher than those who hesitate in taking risks.
All of these qualities make a person love their life instead of hating it. If you think that you lack these qualities then try adopting them to come out of the troubles in life.
