In a communication released by World Health Organization, it has been pointed that India needs to invest more in healthcare.
This will essentially make its healthcare industry robust. The WHO representative to India, Dr. Henk Bekedam has pointed out that if investments in the public healthcare industry are increased, it would be alike to investing in India’s growth story.
Though Dr. Henk had some positive words for the efforts made by India in healthcare, he did hint that much more needs to be done on this front. According to Dr. Henk Bekedam, around 60 million people live in poverty and the country has low investments in health and out of pocket expenditure to seem to be on the higher side.

The financial difficulty leads to people not being able to seek medical assistance as they cannot afford costly medicines. Dr. Henk also appreciated the efforts made by India for fighting diseases as malaria, tuberculosis and AIDS.
He expressed the fear that the proportion of communicable diseases in India was on the higher side and pointed out that the government needs to allocate additional funds to take on this developing scenario.
He also commended the Indian Government for implementing the National Health Mission in the right earnest and providing a boost to the healthcare industry.
It is time we addressed the real issues in healthcare delivery. Yes according to me Indian Health-Care industry needs improvement because at many small villages or town in India there is no proper facilities of hospital. Many peoples die due to the lack of treatment at some government hospitals the staff and doctor is not properly doing their work so Indian Health-Care industry needs improvement.
