Iran on Wednesday confirmed that it has test-fired a new ballistic missile.
The news that Iran launches new missile test has not gone well with the United States and Donald Trump has not taken it kindly. However, the defense minister of Iran has said that the ballistic missile test did not breach any of its agreement with world powers.
It is noteworthy to mention here Iran has test fired several ballistic missiles since the nuclear deal of 2015 but this is the first such test since Donald Trump assumed power. Hossein Dehghan, the Defense Minister of Iran, however, seemed unfazed by the threats from the United States. He said that the test was in accordance with the needs of Iran and no foreign interference will be accepted on this account.
Iran launches new missile test is a significant news from the perspective of world security too as such a step encourages other nations to follow suit and then suffer economically as sanctions are imposed by leading world countries for some years.
The Security Advisor to Donald Trump, Michael Flynn, has meanwhile said that they will put Iran on notice for its inciting activities. He, however, did not elaborate as to what he meant by this.
