Link between sugar and cancer

Does sugar cause cancer?

All of your cells need glucose for energy. Old cells are replaced with new cells. Cancer develops when old cells keep growing instead of dying.

Warburg a scientist and a Nobel prize winner, studied cancer cells. He stated that cancer cells converted sugar into energy without using oxygen. Warburg thought cancer is genetic mutation. Certain proteins, sugar are known to increase tumours. People having sweet tooth will become obese. Obesity is linked with hormonal imbalance and cancer. Processed sugar is bad for cancer patients. It may make the cancer grow.

Be smart about intake of sugar. Avoid processes food and fruit juice concentrate. Cut off sugar loaded foods like chocolates, bakery products and sodas to remain cancer free. Consume a healthy  diet which includes Omega 3 fatty acids, leafy vegetables and whole grains. It is okay to eat some natural sugars like fruits. Sugar itself does not cause cancer. Regular exercise and nutritious food are the key for good health. High sugar levels in your body may cause metabolic disorders or diabetes 2. You should not prevent consuming healthy sugars. This may lead to a condition similar to stress.

Physical activity causes the cells to utilize glucose more efficiently.

Processed sugar is your enemy. Avoid processed sugar and remain cancer free.
