The 10 commandments form the basic foundation on which the religion of Christianity stands. The 10 commandments are essentially 10 rules that every Christian must follow.
According to Bible, God himself spoke the 10 commandments from Mount Sinai, wrote these on tablets of stone and gave it to Moses. Also referred to as Decalogue, the 10 commandments were given to Israelites by God soon after they left Egypt. Apart from the Holy Bible, the commandments also have their mention in Exodus 20:2-17 and Deuteronomy 5:6-21.
