Between Android Nougat and Android Oreo there are no major visual changes, but those that exist have primarily been made to improve usability, increase consistency or add a layer of future-proofing to everybody’s favorite mobile OS.

Notification Dots:   The notification system on Android is powerful, but it is getting even better. Small colored dot can extend notifications and app activity to a visual level. Being visible right on icons and viewed by long-pressing any icon with a dot.

Password autofill : Forgetting app passwords is frustrating. With Android O, Google will offer to fill login forms with information stored in your Google account or in third-party password apps that have integrated the new feature.

It's super easy to use and eliminates any excuse for not remembering a password.

Picture in Picture Puts One App Above Another :

In Android Nougat (7.0), we got the ability to run two apps on the screen at once with Multi-window. While a super useful feature in its own right, it’s not always best solution. So with Oreo, Google is bringing Picture in Picture mode to the small screen. This will let users open an app in the foreground, while keeping something like a YouTube video running in a smaller window on top. The early implementation looks really solid so far.

Updates even if you're outta space :

Future updates to Android Oreo and beyond will still continue to install even if your device is out of storage. Essentially, the update will stream from Google's servers to your phone or tablet and install on the fly. Users need only 100kb of available space in order to install an update. That's... not a lot.
