After the official release of Android 7.x version on last year August which is also known as Android 'Nougat', Google was working on its new mobile operating system version, code-named as 'Android O'. In the last month, Google has officially introduced their new Android version which is still now in the development phase. Although Google has launched the new developer version of 'Android O' just for the first look but they are planning to release the full final official version in the third quarter of this year. So unless waiting for the right time to come let's see what changes Google has made for its new 'Android O' version. It is true that Google has not named the new Android operating system version but from the very beginning, their focus was to improve the battery life as well as the device's interactive performance. Let's see what may be the new features of 'Android O'.
Areas where Google is concentrating on improving on its new Android O version
Although the release in its early stage but most probably we could see the major updates and new proper beta version in mid-May at Google I/O to be held at Mountain View, California.
1. Battery life is the major concern for Google developers where they are trying to limit the apps running activity in the background. They also have a plan to improve three major areas like indirect broadcasts, background services, and location wise updates.
2. The new developer version also gives the users a new "fine grained control" over a group of notifications. Google is planning to give a great control to its users to filter the received notification types according to the subject matter.
3. They are trying to bring a new feature called picture-in-picture display where a user simultaneously can watch a video and can be engaged in a chat session.
4. It is also concentrating to improve the connectivity issues for LDAC support.
