When does Implantation Bleeding occur?

 Attachment takes place when the egg embarks on a journey of traveling through the Fallopian tube and sticks to the lining of the uterus. It generally occurs a week post ovulation within the range of six to twelve days following fertilization.

So, basically, the implantation bleeding occurs when the fertilized egg also called ‘Blastocyte’ links itself to the lining of the uterus. The lining may feel some irritation and movement which may end up causing blood bleeding from the lining of the uterus. It is a common symptom of pregnancy.  At least twenty-five to thirty-five pregnant women during their initial stages witness implantation bleeding. However, innumerable women mistake this kind of bleeding for menstrual bleeding. Nonetheless, one must understand both the bleedings are completely different. It is mostly dark pink to dark brown and there is light bleeding which lasts only for two days.  Many women experience that menstrual blood’s color is bright red and which becomes heavier during the day’s time.

Also, we must understand that implantation bleeding takes place mostly ten to fourteen days after ovulation and fertilization of an egg. Unfortunately, this can also happen when a woman is usually expecting her period.  There may be a possibility that you experience symptoms similar to that of menstrual periods which often confuse a woman. Let us understand why this happens? It happens because the changes in hormonal levels in the first initial weeks of pregnancy are similar to changes during your periods. So, dear women, if you are trying hard to get pregnant then please observe the changes in your body very closely.

Also, be careful about one thing! Any unexpected bleeding from the uterus may be a cause for concern. It could turn out to be an early miscarriage too which might be confusing for you. Miscarriage bleeding may begin as light bleeding which becomes heavier with small to huge clots and having a color similar to menstrual blood.

When the bleeding occurs, it is one of the first signs of pregnancy whether wanted or unwanted. Other early signs could be nausea of tender pain in the breasts. Also, several other symptoms include cramps in the lower abdomen which can occur due to a multitude of causes. Mild cramps are normal but sometimes cramps could indicate bigger problems. When you are faced with cramps, the first question that should strike your brain tank is “Am I pregnant?’. A reliable pregnancy test at the time right time may help you in excluding pregnancy fears. You may also experience an unwanted headache and uncontrollable mood swings which may be disturbing to others.
