Do you believe that 25th December is the birth day of Jesus Christ? We would advise you to think again. Many scholars and researchers suggest that Jesus was not even born in the year 1 A.D.
They believe that Roman Catholic Church settled on this date because it collides with solstice and Saturnalia, a Roman festival dedicated to the god of Saturn.
So when was Jesus born?

Some scholars believe that the deity showered human kind around 6 B.C. and 4 B.C., which is partly based on the biblical story of Herod the Great. According to the reference, following Herod’s demise (in 4B.C.), the Judea ruler commanded the death of all male infants who were aged below 2 years. He did this to get Jesus killed. However, historians beg to differ on this and are not convinced with Herod’s death year.
Other scholars associated “Star Of Bethlehem,” the supposed birth place of Christ with astronomical events. Dave Reneke, an astronomer, suggested that Venus and Jupiter possibly came together to form a bright light in the sky. The event was said to occur on June 17, in the year 2 B.C. Not just his birth year but the month of his birth has also been argued upon. Reneke also mentioned that Jesus’s birth took place in the summer.
Running on the same lines, some researchers claimed a similar combination between Saturn and Jupiter, which suggested that His birth may have occurred in October of 7 B.C., making Jesus an autumn baby.

As per the biblical narratives, Jesus was born during the night when the shepherds were watching their flocks in the fields. An event like this was part of the spring season, not winters. So, theologians made Jesus a spring baby.
There is another interesting theory story revolving around Christ’s birth. Birth of Jesus has a correlation to the birth of John The Baptist. The scriptures suggest that John’s mother was in her sixth month of pregnancy when Jesus was born. So, John’s birth that took place at the end of March makes Jesus a September born.
No definite theory would answer the question of Jesus’s birth and his death. No one can claim a certain date when Jesus died. The divine birth and death of Lord Christ have been a mystery and from the looks of it will remain so for the years to come.
