Drinking chamomile tea is known to have anti-anxiety and sedative effects. Peppermint tea aids in an instant stress relief and hence promotes sleep. Passionfruit tea soothes jittered nerves, calms the system and encourages relaxation of the mind. Lavender has relaxing properties and when mixed with any of the teas prompts drowsiness. Allow at least 60 - 90 minutes (before bedtime) for all the teas to take effect.
Drinking cherry juice is also one of the effective drinks in making you asleep faster. Cherry juice mixed with a little vanilla extract also serves as an instant sleep tonic due to the vanilla’s soothing scent.
