Drawbacks of Iphone 7

The new gadget in the town is launched, iPhone 7, which makes us all equally excited about, like every year. It's a trend how apple manages to launch several of its iPhone series every consecutive year. And yet no one gets bored of it. We have witnessed several changes in the iPhone series and considering the numbers, till now 7 series have been launched. The new iPhone 7 is the talk of the town gadget as it offers several features that have been enhanced considering its predecessor iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s plus.

The launch dates of iPhone 7 were just seven days before September 16/2016. Then finally iPhone 7 was available in almost many parts of the world on September 16th of 2016. Unlike its predecessor, iPhone 7 does offer quite new features. But as all iPhones are considered, there is no vast change in all of their features. Just increase in memory and some design transformation has been provided by apple every year. In addition to this, the new iPhone uses a technology called Apple A10 Fusion, that none of its predecessors had. It comes with various colors and most preferably black. Some modifications with the rear and front camera have been done to a great extent by increasing the megapixels. Other than these mentioned features, iPhone 7 does not provide any huge changes over its predecessor. And despite its mixed reviews from various users across the globe, iPhone 7 has been criticized by many for giving a lot of drawbacks. Let us consider some of the drawbacks offered by iPhone 7.

COSTLY - When we are talking about iPhones, we all know it would cost a huge amount to us. But the latest iPhone 7 is way beyond our reach. The price of the phone in a country like India Is around 1 lakh rupees. Now, that is a huge amount considering a simple phone with just a brand name of apple. I think apple should try selling its phones at a considerably low price starting from next year. Because the price of iPhone 7 has crossed boundaries and I don’t think there would be any more substantial increase in the price of apple phones next year. This is the limit. A phone costing above one lakh is beyond any ones' imagination. Referring only to the higher class people, it's high time apple should also try to fetch its middle-class customers. Considering such a huge amount of the selling price, it has been quite a big challenge to buy the new iPhone offered by apple.

REMOVED HEADPHONES - The recently launched iPhone 7 received a lot of criticism because of the removal of headphones. Practically headphones are not there and it is impossible to use wired headphones with the adapter included in the set. Charging is not possible simultaneously. A phone costing thousands of bucks but the unavailability of headphones creates a lot of negative reviews in customers. People spend money to listen to music and stuff but all iPhone 7 is offering is the wireless technology to listen to music. This even drains a lot of battery with continuous use. Using their iPhone wisdom, apple has introduced the wireless system which has been totally criticized by the buyers.

NOT A STRIKING DESIGN! - We all want our phones to look outstanding if we are spending a huge amount like we are spending on iPhone 7. But the design that the latest iPhone offers are not up to the mark. No doubt it has a black metallic finish and gives the edge look, but that is not satisfactory. Considering the amount a customer is paying, looks should have been more enhanced. Gold, Silver and Black are the colors offered by the latest iPhone series. Topping the chart is the Jet Black color that somewhat is capable of taking the attention. But overall, the design is not much of a change and has nothing considered to be outstanding to offer, if we see the amount spent.

NOISE - Some users have recently reported a typical hissing noise when the phone is continuously used. Unknown of the origin of the noise because of limited use since its launch, it is driving the users crazy. Humming along with slight buzz sound comes from the back of the phone’s processor which creates a lot of concern. Although the company has claimed that the new processor used is the main reason behind the noise, customers are not happy spending a huge buck on a phone that cries. Users often report the buzzing or humming sound when the phone is exposed to heavy use, say 7 to 8 hours continuously.

RESOLUTION - The screen resolution that the new iPhone is providing is only of about 720p. Now we can buy 1080p resolution phone at costs that are 100 times less than that of iphone7. What is the point of buying such a costly phone with minimal resolution? Although the iPhone 7 plus has a greater resolution, users expected both the series to be full high definition. But going by the recent craze, resolution has not been a serious concern as some users are happy using 720p.

NO WIRELESS CHARGING - Smartphone with comparatively cheap rates are available that simply has to be put on a charging pad. But considering the iPhone 7, one has to rely on old cord method to charge their phone. Comparing its competitors like Samsung, quick charging option is offered at much lower price than that of iPhone. But in the latest version of iPhone, one has to stick with the usual charging routine. Considering the amount spent on such a device, the unavailability of quick charging is a disappointment.

No doubt how many drawbacks we consider, apple every year launches its smartphones at much higher costs. And people out of sheer curiosity and stature, continue to buy these smartphones. Minimal changes with some new design and all you get is a brand name at such high cost. Still, the iPhones have maintained their charm and continue to enthral a large number of users all over the world.
