Kim Kardashian & Kanye West Sign A Surrogacy Deal Worth $113,000

Celebrity socialite Kim Kardashian and rapper husband Kanye West’s decision to welcome their third child via surrogacy has added their name to the club of other A-list celebs such as Elton John, Nicole Kidman and Neil Patrick Harris among others who have endorsed the method to expand their family.

If reports are to be believed, the power couple has made a deal close to $113,000 to hire a surrogate mother after Kim Kardashian developed complications during her two pregnancies. She was diagnosed with placenta accreta, a condition that would make pregnancy life threatening. Hence, they warmed up to the decision to hire a surrogate mother to nurture their third child.

Out of the sum mentioned in the reports, $45,000 is believed to go to the surrogate mother while the remaining $68,000 will go the agency that arranged the deal. Not just that, an elaborate agreement has been signed between the two parties that constitute some mind boggling clauses that may surprise you!

While the financial aspect of the agreement states that the surrogate would receive an extra $5000 per child if the pregnancy is a multiple one. Should she lose her reproductive organs during pregnancy/labor, she will be handed over an extra $4000 as compensation. However, there are some bizarre restrictions imposed on the surrogate mother by the celebrity couple Kimye who requested her to follow it with utmost sincerity.

According to the agreement, the surrogate mother is banned from relaxing at hot saunas and tubs, cannot go near cat litter, cannot apply hair dye, cannot consume raw fish and can have only one caffeinated beverage in a day.

While of this may sound absurd, celebrity couple Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are ensuring all parameters are covered before the deal is struck. With this, the couple who are already parents to two, North West and Saint West, are gearing up to welcome their child together.
