Targeting the popular tourist attractions, airports, railway stations, hotels and malls, around 20 to 25 Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists are said to have entered India for carrying out attacks similar to the 26/11 strikes that happened years ago in Mumbai, India.
According to the inputs from the Central Intelligence Agencies, there will be a high alert in states bordering Pakistan and the metro cities of India. The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has requested all the security forces to beef up their measures and ensure stringent defense.
Almost nine years after the Mumbai 26/11 attacks, it can be a very sensitive situation if such a terror comes up again. The LeT seems to not only disturb the civilians but also the borders, the line of control and our guard forces. The forces of Rajasthan, Punjab and Jammu & Kashmir have also been asked to not leave any stone unturned. All the forces have been asked to sensitize the units.

LeT is apparently trying to put in place as many attacks as it can in the vicinity and even the videos leaked in the recent past show that the terrorist group has just been sending in more and more people to perpetrate disturbing activities in our country.

Sabzar Bhat, the Hizbul Mujahedeen commander was also killed in an encounter with the country's security forces in the Pulwama district of Southern Kashmir on 27th May 2017. The forces said that Bhat was the brain behind utilizing social media platforms as a tool for attracting youngsters towards the militancy. LeT is allegedly observed carrying out similar activities to increase its forces in Pakistan and India.

Lashkar-e-Taiba, an Islamic militant organization based in Pakistan has evolved from being just a local threat focused group plotting treacherous activities against India into a jihadist threat group that now operates globally. LeT was launched in the 1990s with an ideology of making Muslims revert to the purest form of Islam and liberate them from the mortal enemies, India and the US. Jihad is the militant group's core foundation and they have reportedly and actively been involved in various international and consequential terrorist attacks.
