Narendra Modi was sworn as Prime Minister of India in May 2014. Prior to being sworn as Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi had been the Chief Minister of Gujarat for 3 terms. The development he did as Chief Minster were somehow overshadowed by the Godhra Riots of 2002. Narendra Modi did not have a good impression with the majority of Muslim community in the years preceding the riots. The lack of trust was more evident among the Muslim clan which was uneducated or had not completed the formal education.
They thought that Narendra Modi was solely responsible for the unfortunate killings which took place in Gujarat. However, over the years a better face of Gujarat was showcased to the world and people realized that Narendra Modi was much beyond the cruel facet of his which they were made to believe. This happened as his opponents portrayed Narendra Modi as a villain among the unsuspecting Muslim community.

The image of BJP as a Hinduism promoting party also added fire to this fuel and majority of the Muslim community had a negative perception about Narendra Modi. However, all including the Muslim brothers have now understood that politics played a vital role in this assumption and India as a whole now stands firmly with Narendra Modi who happens to be a crowd puller, everywhere he goes across the world.
