Firstly, we should be able to analyze what is the cause: whether it's your personal issue or work related problem. Identifying the root cause is important because there are times when everything gets accumulated and you are not able to know what is making you so agitated. So, the first step for tackling this effectively is to "Identify the problem". If you are not able to do then there is no need to panic. Just do any of the following things you will surely feel better( these things works for me) :
1. Try listening to some soft songs or instrumental. ( Go to youtube and just search "Hang Drum", trust me worth a try.)
2. Do what you like the most. e.g. For me, it's playing a Football and Table Tennis. I am able to vent out my anger in a productive way. I am able to two things at once: it keeps me fit both mentally and physically.
3. Share stuff with your friends or family.
4. Go to the terrace and just lie under the moonlight. It will give you immense calm and some lone time which is essential to keep yourself sane.
5. Avoid talking to anyone while you are angry because you may hurt someone unknowingly.
6. Take deep breaths.
7. Watch some funny clips to deviate your mind.
8. Lastly, just give yourself space and time. Try to resolve the problem rather getting agitated because at the end of the day it will harm you and the people close to you.
1. Just close your eyes and try not think about anything.
2. Do your favourite activity
Deep breathing is the best technique for anger management.
In my opinion (and my personal experience) there are two things that a person should immediately do when in anger. These are:
#1. SHUT UP
#2. DRINK WATER
Managing anger will become a piece of cake!
An old trick, but still works nonetheless: look down at your shoes and count till 20. It has helped a lot of people to get their anger under control.
