In the year 2001, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) regarded June 1st as the World Milk Day to publicize activities related to milk and the dairy industry. Milk is a global food and the fact that the world dedicates a particular day to it makes the impact even larger. It focuses attention on farmers who take responsibility for their community, land, and animals. Additionally how dairy industry adds to the economic development as well as livelihood makes the celebration even better.

1. According to an ancient Russian tradition, dumping a live frog or frog skin in the jar or bucket of milk kept it fresher for long. But conventionally, you can just add a pinch of salt.
2. Milk is a benefiting drink when digested properly. It nourishes all the tissues promoting a healthy balance mentally, emotionally and physically.
3. It increases the overall strength, immunity, and contentment along with leaving you satiate.
4. Worldwide, around 75 percent of adults cannot digest milk, but there’s a particular way of drinking it if you aren’t absolutely lactose intolerant (though lactose intolerance too has its way to subdue as it's not a disease).
5. Cows produce 90 percent of milk the world needs.
6. Buffalo milk is considered to have around 25 percent more proteins than the cow’s milk.
