Deepika Padukone in 'xXx'

Big dreams - they do come true.

Who would have imagined of a Hollywood debut with Vin Diesel? Deepika Padukone sure did. And her dreams have come true.

xXx: The Return of Xander Cage is the third film in the xXx series which features Deepika Padukone and Vin Diesel in the lead roles. Deepika Padukone in a never-seen-before feisty avatar dons the role of Serena Unger, a cohort and love interest of Xander Cage. She joins forces with Xander Cage to save the world against a powerful and fatal weapon - Pandora’s Box.

Deepika steals the show in this poster creative showcasing her action avatar and flaunting a gun as the lead actress. Unlike other Indian actors, Deepika retains her Indian accent and remains characteristically of Indian origin in the film. The promos feature Deepika engaged in action-oriented scenes and witty exchange of one-liners with Vin Diesel.

It’s a great time for Indian actors to be in global cinema. In a first, taking into account Deepika’s growing fanbase and popularity, the film is slated to release in India (13th January) a week prior to its US release (20th January).

Directed by D. J. Caruso, the film also stars Nina Dobrev, Ruby Rose, Samuel Jackson, Donnie Yen, and Toni Collette in the lead roles.
