Everyone needs a companion in their life. No doubt living a life all alone is not easy. Some day or the other we always have to settle down with someone. Still, it is not easy to find love and get hitched. Several people prefer to live a single life and they actually find happiness in leading singlehood life. Contrary to the fact that single people are sad, there are numerous instances where single people are much happier than people who are in a relationship.
Now, why do people live a life being lonely? We all know how bad we feel at times and the need to express our thoughts to someone. But still, a huge mass of today’s generation prefers to be single. They don’t like to get into a relationship nor do they prefer one night stands. They are always happy enjoying their bachelorhood. No doubt there must be some reasons for these people for which they might have chosen to follow such a lonely path.
Let's find out what actually bothers people to stay single on the long run.
EMOTIONAL - People who are emotional have high expectations. High expectations, on the other hand, creates a lot of trouble between two distinct individuals. So people who are too much emotional prefer to stay single because whenever they get hitched they expect a lot in return and get hurt. Several persons stay single because of numerous instances where their feelings have been hurt by individuals before. As a result, they like to stay single which lessens the possibility of high expectations. So they just keep their relationship boundaries confined to friendship.
PAST ACTIONS - Everyone has the past. No one can escape the past and move on. We all have to face the blunders we did in our past and move on. Single people at times have a distorted past which they don’t want to repeat. At times past references and painful scenarios from their previous relationships have had shattered them to a great extent. For which they never have the courage to step up to another relationship. They build a protective and rigid wall around them so as to avoid any new relationship. They are uncomfortable in getting into intimate relations and develop phobia due to past conflicts.
PRACTICAL - People who are more work-oriented and have a distinct vision in life are less likely to get engaged in bonding. They have a realistic and pragmatic vision towards life. Their goal is to get settled first and then find a companion. Such people spend less time in searching for companionship and are often happy in chasing their dreams. A lot of ambitious persons tend to live a single life because they value their dreams much more than getting hitched. They enjoy their life in building structures and succeeding with funds rather than getting involved with someone in a relationship.
RESERVED - People who have specific boundaries attached to themselves often prefer to be single. These people grow up having certain boundaries attached to themselves and possess no emotional attachment from the people around them. They adhere to a strict and standard routine of life and get engaged in one's own life problems and deal less with individuals. Inner involvement including spiritual involvement is quite unusual for these people. Hence they always prefer to stay single and get all the love and affection by themselves.
CENSORIOUS OR JUDGEMENTAL - At times people who are extremely judgmental on other's action is not well perceived by their friends and social circle. Due to several past instances, these people become choosy in finding mates and they prefer to live a single life. They always perceive the other gender group in a suspicious way. They at times even have unrealistic and biased expectations for their partner from the moment they meet someone. Therefore these people always find it difficult to get into a relation and as such always prefer to live life on a single page.
FEARING COMPETITION - People lacking self-esteem have always a fear of competition. They always put themselves down in comparing others. They always have perceptions that their mates can do much better tasks provided they are given the same time and resources. They constantly judge their mates and this creates a lot of trouble in their relationship. As a result fear of competition makes these people opt for singlehood. They know once they get into a relation they will start judging their partners on tasks relating their own efficiency.
As it is said matches are made in heaven. No doubt finding a perfect partner in life is not an easy task. And in a world where one night stands have become quite regular, it is difficult to rely upon or find true love. So leading a single life is always easy than getting ditched or betrayed in love.
