Where are we leading to? Stop & Think...

When the early man came into existence he must not have been aware of his potentials and the powers of his brain must have been beyond his thinking. That’s why he took so much time to reach the age of technology. That means he had to start with the first step of civilization to run the race to become a ‘modern’ man. He had so much to do: to develop a society, plan its administration, go for a family, ruling the animal world and build nations, and so on. 

He must have been too busy, exploring, experimenting, creating new ideas, constructing, and fixing things together. There were a lot of things to be done by him. The question of his origin is not important here. The important thing was his leading to the path of development. Doing so he has reached a stage where not much is left to be done. What remains is to come out of the clutches of side effects of the progress he has done.

The modern man has everything at his doorsteps. He has the whole world in his fist. He can talk to anyone he likes just by moving his thumb on the cell phone screen, he can sit in his bedroom and watch what is going around the world, he can fly in the sky and travel around the world just in countable hours, he can cure his diseases (exceptions are there) and so many other things you all know as you to share this stage of development. But what he needs to live with all these comforts is still to be earned by him, i.e., money. 

Actually, it is money that is ruling man and to earn it man is ready to anything. Those who have money are busy resolving tax issues and keeping their accounts safe and those who don’t have it are busy resolving ways to earn it. Both the ways mans is not at in peace and living with weird senses. See around you or even see to your own being, isn’t it true.

You have everything that is essential to living peacefully but there is still some passion for food or dress or latest mobile app that keeps you busy unnecessarily in office. There is some sort of pizza that you still want to taste because bread and butter are too old fashioned for you. You cannot be modern unless you join some funny sort of club that keeps late nights and shouts on top of the world to show how young and full of energy you all are. 

Am I not right? Crazy brains are running after something or other, in a pretext of this or that. How far are they going to is not certain and for what, if not for a peaceful life, is a debatable question.

If we can really think and depend on our thinking then it is the material progress we have gone through and which matters only for the comfort of our physical being. We have led astray. We carry a large lunch bag for our afternoons and ignore the child on the road selling a newspaper. Not our mistakes, really. 

Something has gone wrong in the process of development. The human instinct has got numb. The milk of kindness has lost it spur in our hearts. The child or some child like him has cheated us some time and that is the reason we are not helping the poor. A commendable excuse it is.

The path we are following doesn’t even lead us to the growth of our brain powers. Have we ever thought of the growth of our soul? This life has given us the stuff we need for a better lifestyle but are we not missing the real meaning of life which the early man found while searching for new lands and new friends? He had so much to do and we have nothing to do except for the comfort of our body. We have exploited the nature for our good, so much so, that we are getting deprived of oxygen. 

Have we ever thought of planting a money plant in a small pot near our window? It is a very simple and cheap substitute but does we ever think about it?What are we giving to our children, the world full of pollution in mind, in sentiments and in the environment? Think and you will find so many instances where you need to change your acts.

It is very necessary to stop and think what we are leading to.
