Why Is Brown rice better Than White Rice? How Many Calories Are There In Brown Rice?

#1. Compared to white rice, brown rice has a larger amount of nutrition in it. It is infused with a huge amount of nutritional value and has many health benefits. Both of them are gluten free!

#2. You will be surprised but, you can reduce the risk of having type two diabetes, by the consumption of two servings of brown rice in one week. On the other hand having white rice increases the chances of having type two diabetes by at least around 20 per cent.

#3. In a cup of brown rice, you will get around 4.5 grams of protein, 45.8 grams of carbohydrate, 218 calories and 1.6 grams of fat.

#4. The fact that white rice is actually what is inside brown rice, we get white rice when brown rice is polished as a result of that the bran and all the important nutrition’s are removed.

#5. Some nutrients lost in the polishing process will shock you and compel you to opt for brown rice instead of white rice. The nutrition lost includes, 80 per cent of B1 vitamins, 67 per cent of vitamin B3, almost half the amount of phosphorus and manganese, 60 per cent of the iron and 90 per cent of vitamin B6. Along with these almost all of the fatty acid and fiber are lost.
