They say all people are created equal, but some prove this wrong with their courage and determination. Suffering from a disability can render one unable to do anything, but some people are just not ready to give up no matter how difficult their circumstances may become. Such is the case of Muniba Mazari of Pakistan, who just doesn’t seem to be held down by anything. Want to know her amazing story of how she overcame all the obstacles that life threw her way? Just keep reading.
Muniba Mazari was living the life of a regular 21-year old when one fateful day in 2007 turned it all around. While she was returning to her hometown, her husband fell asleep at the wheel and crashed the car. The tragic accident left her with a crushed backbone and multiple fractures to her arm, ribs, shoulder, and collarbone.
Unable to feel her legs, she was taken to the hospital in a Jeep as no ambulance was available in the area. Her recovery from the unfortunate crash was not easy either as spent the next two years of her life in the hospital before accepting a wheelchair as her lifelong companion.

Talking about the period, Muniba remembers how this was the most difficult time of her life. Her disability not only made her husband to abandon his wife, but Muniba’s father also left her in the face of such pain and grief.
You would think that being disabled from the waist down and abandoned by the two people that she looked up to in every upsetting moment of her life would break her spirits but the 20-something girl just was not ready for it.
Determined to play with the cards she was dealt, Muniba did not let her determination die down and with a little motivation from her mother, got back in the race called life. After some encouragement by the doctors at the hospital, she also revived her old passion for painting.
Nobody thought Muniba’s efforts would take her anywhere, but she has made quite a name for herself, fitting into several roles. Today, she is a renowned painter with her unique style of abstract painting, drawing art aficionados from near and far. Her paintings enjoy grand exhibitions and are in high demand among art lovers.

Besides an artist, she is also a model, and an anchor, hosting for one of the biggest news channels in Pakistan. Furthermore, she is also an activist, consistently working towards children’s rights, as well as a motivational speaker, trying to inspire others with her life. She is often referred to as the Iron Lady of Pakistan and the True Face of Pakistan.

Muniba’s story is a true inspiration to all those who give up in life on the face of a few challenges. If someone can make the most of her life even after suffering from a disability and having lost their loved ones, then everything else is an excuse, and there should not be anything stopping us from achieving whatever we want in our lives.
