Just before it's free voice and data offer ends, Reliance Jio is nearing 50 million paid users. Jio had been able to enroll around 100 million plus free subscribers. Out of these, around 50 million have finally signed up for its “Prime Membership” subscription by paying a fee of Rs 99 and will now be buying data packs as per their suitability and usage.
Reports say that the company has been able to achieve more than 50% of its target by enrolling around 50 million paid users. The promotional Happy New Year plan which offered free calls and data ended on March 31st, 2017.

Data packs on Jio will now be available for as low as Rs 149. It also has different kind of plans suiting needs of individual and corporate clients. Noticeably, reliance Jio has announced that to keep an edge over the competitors, it will always be offering 20 percent more data than its rivals.
With 50 million plus active users, Jio has already become the largest telecom company in India. In comparison, Airtel has around 37.7 million users for its 3G and 4G services. The next target of Jio will now be to increase its user base and become the comprehensive leader in the market.
It is business after all.
