While it is claimed that skimmed milk has the same amount of nutritional value as compared to the whole milk, it is devoid of essential fat soluble vitamins. The essential enzymes and pro-biotic micro flora, which boosts the digestion, are removed in the process of pasteurization.
The fact that skimmed milk makes you lose weight is also not entirely true as fat-free milk is also not fulfilling in nature, and eventually, makes you eat more.
